It's Only Life

Once again, can't sleep. But I wanted to share a song that really made me happy right now. It's by Kate Voegele and the song is called "It's Only Life." I think it really describes life right now for me.

Life isn't always easy... but I think that is a part of living. Things don't always make sense, and maybe that's the point. Everything is a learning experience and we can get past life's hardships & the barriers that come crashing in front of our path.

I hope you enjoy the song as much as me. OH & check her version of the song "Hallelujah," it's utterly amazing and gives me chills every single time.

tears are forming in your eyes,
a storm is warning in the skies,
the end of the world it seems,
you bend down and you fall on your knees,
well get back on your feet,
yeah, don't look away,
don't run away,
baby it's only life,
don't lose your faith,
don't run away,
baby it's only life.
you were always playing hard,
never could let down your guard,
you can't win,
if you never give in,
to that voice within,
saying pick up your chin,
baby let go of it ,
yeah,don't look away,
don't run away ,
baby, it's only life.
don't lose your faith,
don't run away,
baby it's only life.
take your hesitance and your self defense,
leave them behind,
it's only life,
don't be so afraid of facing every day,
just take your time,
it's only life,
i'll be your stepping stone,
don't be so alone,
just hold on tight,
it's only life,
oh..don't look away.
baby it's only life,
don't lose your faith,
don't run away,
baby, it's only life
it's only life,
it's only life,
don't look away...

Shout Out!!

My cousin turns 18 today and it just baffles me. Where does the time go?? My little brother is going to be 18 in April, and then he starts college. He even has a gf now. To me, he will always be my little brother. I guess sometimes you have to realize if you are ready or not, time keeps on moving. You just have to go along for the ride. Sometimes though I wish everything would slow down. I like to take a breather and be thankful for what I have in my life. Even with the good and bad times, it's always good to show your gratitude.

Anyways, just a little shout out. I hope you have an amazing birthday Chris. Love you lots. xoxo.

Busy-Busy Bee!!!!

Do you ever have one of those weeks that just do NOT stop??! Because that's how I'm feeling right now. Sometimes I like to stay busy, I feel like that way I have purpose. But lately! It just seems like I never even have a free minute anymore. BLAH. So annoying. I just wish sometimes that time would slllllllllllllloooooooooooowwwwwwww down! Why do we always have to keep track of the time?? I want to move somewhere where you don't need to rely on that.. you just go with the flow :) Yup that's my kind of place alright!
We have been busy this week because not only school and family stuff is going on... but it's my sorority annual SONGFEST. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the many favorite things we do! But it takes so much time. Like when I used to Greek Dance. I loved it, every minute of it, but it would always take so much time!!!
I just want to move to a house on the lake surrounded by millions of trees and hear only nature... nothing else. No telephones, no worries, ZIP-ZILCH! That would be of course my dream house in Oregon. Too bad it's way expensive and I can't afford that until I become a book writer and sell a million copies ;)
A dream.

A dream for the future that I hope will come true someday!!
But until now... let's keep moving I suppose!

Can't Sleep... So Why Not Write?

Sooo.. are you ever so completely tired but you cannot sleep!? Because that's where I am right now. It's exactly 2:48 am and I have school in the morning, yet I've been lying in bed for two hours almost and can't sleep. What's wrong with me?? Maybe it's because I have so much on my mind. This week is going to be beyond busy! I think you need to pace yourself and not get too ahead, but sometimes you really can't help it; especially when you're just lying in your bed. I have a hard time turning off my brain and I wish it wasn't the case! I even tried to listen to soothing music and read... nothing. So I am resulting to writing. To me writing is another form of relaxing and I hope after I finish this post, I'll fall deep into a peaceful slumber (I wish). Oh boy. Well because I'm so tired and don't even know what to write... look how cute that kitten is with the ball of yarn. Aw, reminds me of my cat Buddy that we had to put asleep back in March. He was the kitten I picked out at the pet store and from that point forward he was always my little buddy. He was the nicest soul you would ever meet. Never bit me once and was so lovable. Even when I was having a rough day, he one time came over to me and patted away one of my tears off of my face. I just miss him a lot. He had a really bad cancer in his throat and couldn't eat anymore. The saddest part was that he was still all there, just in a lot of pain. I couldn't be in the room when they put him to sleep, actually I regret it now, but I couldn't be there at all. I didn't want to remember him that way. Selfish, yes, probably. Especially because my mom had to do it. She said that she was brushing him when they gave him the shot and he kept looking at my mom until he closed his eyes. When she got home I just stared at her and she put her hand over her heart and replied numbly, "My heart actually hurts." And she went into her room for a while. That's when I knew I should've been there with her. But I think it would be too hard to say goodbye in that way. Someone asked if it was worth it having a pet, because all you do is bond with them and then they die. But I would do it all over again if I could. A pet brings such joy and happiness to your life. Even when they go, you still have the good memories. And that's what I'll hold on forever with Buddy. Wow now that I wrote that sob story maybe I'll go cry myself to sleep... no no, just kidding. But seriously! Ha. Anyways here's to the pets that touched our hearts. I love you Buddy RIP. xoxo. And goodnight to anyone who reads this post.. sorry for my random blabbing ;)

UP, is definitely one of my favorite one of my favorite movies. Just watched it again for the 100th time.. and it blows me away each time. The colors, the characters, the music, the places, etc. It's amazing! There is something so magical about that movie, makes me cry everytime too (such a sap). Cannot help it though!

Oh and my favorite character... can you guess who it is????

DUG the dog. I love him more than anything, "Squirrel!" or "You're my master and I love you." :) Makes me smile. This movie just cheers me up. Love Pixar. Sometimes I miss just the regular old cartoons Disney used to do though.

My favorite 3 Disney Movies are:

The Little Mermaid
Beauty & the Beast

BUT I will always have a soft spot in my heart for The Lion King. Movies back then.. well I don't think anything will ever top them. But Up definitely is the new generation, and it makes me proud.

Love you Disney!

The Black Dagger Brotherhood!!!!

So over the summer I became OBSESSED to the max with the vampire book series called "The Black Dagger Brotherhood," by J.R Ward. I'm telling you they are simply amazing. Each story has one of the brothers and it tells something about them. It's filled with steamy... STEAMY romance and a story that will make you shed tears, laugh, tremble, and be in awe. My favorite of course is the third one called, "Lover Awakened." It's about my favorite brother named Zsadist (I just love his name!!!!) He has the most complex story in my opinion, but he falls in love for the first time in his life. And the main heroine helps heal his soul mentally and physically in every single way. So you should definitely read them! It's quite the ride that's for sure.

The books include:

Dark Lover
Lover Eternal
Lover Awakened :)
Lover Revealed
Lover Unbound

Lover Enshrined
Novella called Father Mine
Lover Avenged
Lover Mine

Book 9 will hopefully come out soon too!!

I really am obsessed with so many book series!! Of course my first loves are the Twilight series & Harry Potter.. of course.

But I also love:

The Mortal Instruments

My Blood Approves
House of Night
Blue Bloods
Hush, Hush
Vampire Academy
The Faustin Bros

etc......... too many to name I swear! So check them all out. Especially BDB tho :) xoxo.

Happy Birthday Super Mario

"Super Mario Bros.: Four ways to celebrate the 25th birthday
Super Mario Bros. turns 25 today. So, grab your plumber hat, dive down a pipe, and prepare to properly celebrate this silver anniversary. -
Chris Gaylord"

I have always loved the Mario games since I was like 6 years old. I just love Nintendo, but the Mario games were always the best, hands down!! I'll continue loving the games and playing Nintendo till I am all old and wrinkly and can't control the controllers anymore :) But even then, you never know what sort of system they'll have out!

So here's to you Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Boswer, Toad, etc!!!

Roswell :)

Roswell is one of my fav shows that used to be on the air during the years 1999-2002. I have watched this series a billion times and fall even more in love with it each time. It's funny because it's a science fiction tv show, and usually that doesn't interest me that much. But this does! I love their story and I love how the whole thing doesn't revolve around just aliens. It shows the relationships they have with the humans, love, hate, the good things and the bad, them trying to survive highschool, and basically survive in their small town. I watch it with my best friend (who I love more than anything!) and we now definitely want to go on a road trip to Roswell New Mexico. It would be cool to actually go to the set and see if the town really is all into aliens and what not!!!

Here are pics of my favorite people & couples!

Max/Liz & Michael/Maria. Those I love who I didn't put a pic of, are Alex, Isabelle, Kyle and Valenti :) Best show ever!!!!!!!! Well used to be when it was on. xo.

So it's true......... I'm obsessed with my new Kindle! I already have 30 books on it, and have read 5 in just a week! It's so tiny & cute :) I won't lie, I still love real books. Just going into a library and bookstore makes me happy (love the smell of books). This is nice though, because then you don't have books scattered all over your room! It's so awesome and almost reminds me of an ipod, but for books!! Just had to share that little obsession of mine. If you haven't gotten one yet and you are a book-worm like me, definitely get one! It's only $139 - "Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite - Latest Generation" Woot woot!!

So.. I have always been a very creative person. I have always loved to write. Writing short stories, poems, and novels was one of my favorite things to do when I was younger. I'm getting my degree in teaching, but realized that I want to also do so much more. I want to write children's books, and fiction fantasy books for older readers. It's just a passion of mine, that I really want to make into a reality. I want a book by me to be published, and for people to tell their friends, "This is my favorite book," or "I love this author!" I hope someday that dream will become a reality... I hope.

I haven't written in sooooo long I realized. It's definitely been a year! A lot of stuff has changed, but for now I'll I'm going to write is something that has changed my life; OREGON. I know it's just a state to some people, but to me it's a whole lot more to me than that. It's the next chapter of my life. I am planning on moving there after I graduate, and it's definitely a cemented plan after my road trip there with the BFF Mar-bear. I can't wait to do something new and something that will definitely be scary at first. I can start over, and make all new friends (of course I won't forget about the people I leave behind.) Sometimes you just need a change, and I am in desperate need for a drastic one!! I feel confident about this choice I'm making and I follow the signs that up until this point, have all led me down this road. I cannot wait for it to become my reality instead of my dream. Here's to you Oregon!
