Jam Packed Weekend

It was quite the weekend, didn't seem as crazy as my birthday week ;) but it was still up there in busy weekends.

Last week was Will and my 5 month anniversary! We went to Gepetto's (pizza place) and there was life music and everything. So much fun. It's cool because my dad worked there when he was in high school, and let me say, it hasn't changed a bit!

So fun with live music and everything! We got cheesy garlic bread, and shared a buffalo chicken pizza.
MMMM! 

 Now why don't I tell the rest through instagram pictures? Alrighty then. Well you all know my ADORABLE little Oliver, aka Ollie, that I got last week. My last post was all about him. But we took him to the vet and he's actually only 7 weeks, well was last week, so now will be 8! He's so sweet and I'm seriously OBSESSED with him.

So this is CRAZY, but there is a bird's nest built into the wreath on our front door. Nothing like this has ever happened before. And this was over the weekend; I looked last night...and there are now 4 eggs int here. The nest is SO small too! We had to write a note not to knock on the door, especially when the babies hatch! 

I am SO proud of my cousin Nicole! She ran the Ogden Marathon! She did it in 4 hours and 25 minutes. Seriously, I run a mile and sometimes feel like I'm dying...how in the world can a person run that far!? And for that long? People were collapsing after the finish line and puking...ehh, but still, such an accomplishment!!  

If you ever go to Utah, go to CROWN BURGERS! Seriously, it's the greatest, and I'm not just saying that because my Greek friend own it, it's the best. Look at my meal...mmm!! We went there after the race and I loved every minute of it. 

On Mother's Day, my cousins and I gave our mothers, and grandma, coupons for a tea party luncheon at the Grand America Hotel in SLC. It was yesterday, and I must say, I almost felt like a young girl again playing with my tea set. We had all this tea, and finger foods...oh and AWESOME desserts. It was wonderful and not too expensive for being a beautiful hotel!! 

So overall, it was a fun weekend. Some other things I didn't mention were, that on Saturday I also went to my good friend's surprise birthday party. It was crazy because people from my elementary school were there! I have known these people forever. It was awesome. All of our lives have changed so much. You don't realize it sometimes. Also yesterday was the Solar Eclipse. I hope some people got to see real cool views, because I only did for a minute! We looked through x-rays, but it started really hurting my eyes. I needed those special glasses!! But the clouds blocked it off before it became the Ring of Fire which I was really disappointed about. I bet all the Twilight fans were going crazy - "Eclipse." HA!! Actually, that was my favorite book in the series ;)

Well I finally got him. It was the last of my birthday gifts (yes, I'm a lucky girl). I got my kitty! The one I've wanted forever. I'be been waiting for the right one, the right place, etc. And finally got him. I originally wanted a little girl, but when I saw his face...well I fell in love. Just look at him.

He and my older cat Lucky had a "moment" and no, not a good one; some growling and hissing, but I'm going to work on it!! Separation is key for now though. And yup, it was love at first sight. He makes me so happy. And I realized I made a wish list of everything I wanted...having Oliver, aka Ollie, made that list complete. I'm so grateful for what I have, and being positive and showing love, and having faith really makes a difference. I've actually gotten more into writing again. I was working so hard to get into Grad School, that I stopped for a while. I cannot wait to be "inspired." Writing everyday really helps and I have a great idea for a novel, one is improving one I've been working a year on! Crazy how it comes to you.

Also, I'm so happy to say that it's mine and Will's 5 month anniversary today. We've been dating for 6 almost 7 months, but officially it's been 5. We are going to a really old pizza place that was opened in the 70's that super popular and funny enough, my dad worked there. It's called Gepetto's! They always have tons of pictures, singers, etc. Then we are getting fro-yo, then of course off to play with Ollie. Can't wait for my boys to meet! OH! And Will got his apartment that he's been dying to get. It's right by my school (which I'm starting soon), so that will be convenient.

Quarter of a Century

Welp, I truly have been MIA on Blogger for some time. I'm sorry, but I'm not. Honestly, I have been beyond busy it's not even funny. But it was one of the greatest weeks of my life. Maybe that's why I wasn't writing so much; so busy being happy to even sit still! I'll sum it up with pictures and here we go:

The weather has been so nice in Utah lately - I'm very happy about it and have been outside lots and lots.  

 BIGGEST NEWS!!!!!

I got into Graduate School at Westminster College :)
All my hard work finally paid off, and I start June 11th. I cannot wait. The campus is charming and beautiful. 

I've been SO into baking lately. These are Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. 

It was my "Birthday Week" and this was celebrating with my family, Will, and Steve (cousin's boyfriend) and having a BBQ at the park!! It kicked off the entire celebration just right. 

Yesterday was my birthday, and my boyfriend brought me balloons (pink my fav) and got me the best gift!

This "blurry" picture, somewhat sums up the celebration with friends on Friday, and my birthday dinner last night at Aristo's Restaurant (Greek food amazing). 

Best gift!!! I got the new iPad! It's my baby :)

Finally, Mother's Day! What a wonderful day with the family at brunch, then saw Dark Shadows with my mom (hilarious).

I have so many pictures, so I'll probably just post a few. But I must say, this birthday might've been the greatest so far. I needed it. I've been SO happy lately...and I think I deserve it. Life has been hard the last few years, and I've been trying to find the silver lining anywhere - finally found it. Getting into Grad School, and spending my 25th birthday with family, boyfriend, and all my friends...well lets just say I feel so blessed. More than I can describe really.

My mom and I went and looked at the Humane Society for a kitten, or smaller cat (my bigger cat wouldn't do well with another big cat). Couldn't really find one, but another adoption service is opening up so stay tuned. I want a girl and to name her Nala :)

I've really tried to do that, especially this week. And it's turned out so amazingly.

So as you can see, I'm so blessed and so grateful for this past week. It truly is my Silver Lining and the happiest I've really been in 3 years. I have wonderful friends, boyfriend, and a family that would do anything. Mother's Day was so special as well, and I loved spending time with my wonderful mother.
